Elderberry Syrup: A Natural Remedy for Cough, Lungs, and Immunity

Simmer the Ingredients:

In a medium saucepan, combine elderberries, water, cinnamon stick, cloves, and ginger.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 45–60 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced by half.

Strain and Cool:

Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Strain through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bowl. Press the berries to extract all the liquid.

Add Honey:

Once the mixture is lukewarm, stir in the honey until fully dissolved.

Pour the syrup into a sterilized glass jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
