Remove oven racks and set them aside.
In a small bowl, mix the baking soda and water to form a spreadable paste.
Spread the paste generously on the interior surfaces of the oven, avoiding heating elements. Focus on areas with heavy buildup.
Let the paste sit for at least 12 hours or overnight to break down grease and grime.
After waiting, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe away the baking soda paste and loosened dirt.
Pour white vinegar into a spray bottle and spray it on any remaining baking soda residue. The vinegar will fizz and help dissolve stubborn spots.
Wipe the oven interior clean with a damp cloth until all residue is removed.
Clean the oven racks separately using warm soapy water and a sponge, then dry and replace them.
