Introduction:
There’s nothing like the satisfaction of crafting your own pizza dough from scratch. This recipe delivers a soft, chewy interior with a crisp outer crust—the ideal foundation for any topping combination. Made with simple ingredients and minimal effort, it’s a must-have for pizza nights, calzones, or flatbreads. Whether baked in the oven or grilled, this dough holds up beautifully and brings authentic flavor to your homemade pizza experience.

Ingredients:

2¼ teaspoons (1 packet) active dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 cup warm water (around 40°C or 105°F)

2½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

How to make:

In a bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt.

Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour. Mix until a dough begins to form.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a towel or plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough and shape as desired.
