Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a standard loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add buttermilk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread tender.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
