Introduction:
Craving fresh, soft rolls but short on time? These 30-minute rolls come together quickly using simple ingredients and a fast-rise method. Perfect for weeknight dinners or last-minute gatherings, they’re fluffy, golden, and delicious right out of the oven.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons warm water

⅓ cup oil (vegetable or olive oil)

2 tablespoons active dry yeast

¼ cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for kneading)

1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

How to make:

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, oil, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for about 5 minutes until the yeast activates and becomes foamy.

Stir in salt and gradually add flour, mixing until a sticky dough forms.

Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Divide dough into 8-10 equal portions and shape each into a ball.

Place rolls on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between them.

Let rolls rise in a warm place for 10-15 minutes until slightly puffy.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

(Optional) Brush rolls with beaten egg for a shiny crust.

Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
