Wash cucumbers and slice into thin rounds. Place them in a clean glass jar.
Add sliced garlic, chopped dill, and red chili flakes on top of the cucumbers.
In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, salt, and sugar. Heat until sugar and salt dissolve completely. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Pour the warm brine over the cucumber mixture in the jar, ensuring all cucumbers are submerged.
Seal the jar tightly and leave at room temperature for 24 hours. Then refrigerate for at least 3 days before eating to develop full flavor.
