Peel 5 fresh garlic cloves.
Place the cloves into a clean jar or glass.
Fill the jar completely with fresh, cold water until the garlic cloves are submerged.
Cover the jar loosely and leave it at room temperature for 8 to 12 hours.
After soaking, you can drink the garlic-infused water or use the softened garlic cloves in cooking.
