Boil the Cloves:
Place the whole cloves in a small pot with 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer gently for 5 to 10 minutes. The longer it simmers, the stronger the flavor will be.
Steep and Strain:
Remove from heat and let the cloves steep for another 5 minutes. Strain the liquid into your cup, removing the cloves.
Serve:
Enjoy the warm clove tea as is, or add a little honey or lemon slice to adjust the taste according to your preference.
