Once You Learn This, You Will Never Throw Avocado Pit Away

For Growing an Avocado Plant:

Clean the avocado pit gently, removing any remaining fruit.

Insert 3-4 toothpicks around the middle of the pit to suspend it over a glass of water, with the bottom (wider end) submerged.

Place the glass in a warm, sunny spot and change the water every few days.

In 2-6 weeks, the pit will sprout roots and a stem.

Once the stem is about 6 inches long and roots are well established, transplant the seedling into soil.

For Nutritional or Beauty Uses:

Dry the pit completely by leaving it in the sun or an oven at low heat.

Grind the dried pit into a fine powder using a coffee grinder or blender.

Use the powder as an additive in smoothies for extra fiber and antioxidants, or mix it into natural scrubs for skin exfoliation.
