Apple Pie with Plenty of Filling, Delicious Dough & Crispy Crust

Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add apples, water, and sugar. Cook gently until apples soften, about 8–10 minutes.

Stir in semolina and cook 2–3 more minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and cool.

Prepare your pie dough and line a baking pan.

Pour the cooled apple filling into the crust.

Cover with a dough lattice or top crust, seal edges, and make slits for steam to escape.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 40 minutes or until the crust is golden and crisp.
