Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Remove the thin membrane from the back of the ribs for better tenderness.
Rub the ribs with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using.
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking tray.
Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the ribs are tender.
Carefully unwrap the ribs, brush with barbecue sauce, and broil for 5-7 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.
