Creamy Garlic Yogurt Sauce for Grilled Dishes

Introduction:
This creamy garlic yogurt sauce is a versatile and flavorful accompaniment perfect for grilled meats, kebabs, or as a refreshing dip. Combining tangy Greek yogurt with fresh herbs and garlic, it offers a bright, zesty contrast that elevates any meal. Easy to prepare and healthy, it’s an ideal sauce to keep in your fridge for quick serving.

Ingredients:

100 grams Greek yogurt

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

½ tablespoon red wine vinegar

Juice of half a lemon

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon cumin powder (optional)

1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped

1 tablespoon mint leaves, chopped

1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped

How to make:

Mince garlic finely with a pinch of salt using a food processor, mortar and pestle, or garlic press. The salt helps release garlic juices for better blending.

Whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, minced garlic, salt, oregano, and cumin powder until well emulsified.

Add Greek yogurt and mix until smooth and creamy.

Stir in the chopped fresh herbs evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
