Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar until combined.
In another bowl, mix melted butter, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined; avoid overmixing. Fold in the blueberries carefully.
Pour the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Optional: Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over the biscuits during the last 5 minutes of baking for a sweet crust.
Let cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve warm.
