Cheese Bread with a Twist

In a bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then stir to combine.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1-2 hours, or until it doubles in size.

Prepare the Filling:

In a small bowl, mix the shredded cheese, melted butter, garlic, and fresh herbs.

Shape the Bread:

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.

Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the dough, then roll it up tightly into a log.

Twist the dough into a spiral shape and place it on a greased baking tray.

Bake:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the twisted cheese bread for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy on top.
