In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in vanilla extract.
Gradually stir in flour and salt until the dough forms. Do not overmix.
Roll dough into a log and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
Slice into 1 cm thick rounds or shape as desired.
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper. Place cookies in a single layer, leaving space between each.
Air fry at 160°C (320°F) for 6–7 minutes or until lightly golden at the edges.
Let cookies cool completely—they firm up as they cool.
