In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
Add the raisins to the milk and allow them to soak for 3-4 minutes, softening and infusing their sweetness into the milk.
If desired, add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.
Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon (if using) and stir well to combine all the flavors.
Remove the saucepan from heat and whisk the milk vigorously to create a frothy texture.
Pour the whisked milk into cups and serve warm. You can add a few extra raisins on top for garnish.
