Introduction
We often overlook the importance of cleaning and maintaining our shower hoses, but did you know that over time, dirt, soap scum, and even bacteria can accumulate inside the hose? This buildup can cause unpleasant odors, reduce water pressure, and even lead to skin allergies. Here's a simple, unconventional trick that can keep your shower hose clean and improve your overall shower experience — and the best part? It costs nothing!
Ingredients
1 clean, unused sponge
1 shower hose
Warm water
How to Make
Start by disconnecting your shower hose from the showerhead.
Take a clean, unused sponge and cut it into a size that can easily fit inside the hose.
Carefully slide the sponge into the hose. Ensure it's positioned in the middle to allow the sponge to cover a significant part of the hose.
Reconnect the shower hose to the showerhead.
Turn on the water and allow it to flow through the hose. As the water flows, the sponge will absorb any soap scum and dirt inside, preventing further buildup.
