Cowboy Baked Beans Recipe

Brown the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned. Drain any excess fat.

Cook the Onion:
Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the beef and cook until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Combine the Ingredients:
In the same skillet, stir in the baked beans, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar (if using), ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine all the ingredients thoroughly.

Simmer the Beans:
Reduce the heat to low and let the beans simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will allow the flavors to meld together.

Serve:
Once the beans are hot and the flavors have blended, remove from heat and serve as a side dish with your favorite barbecue or meal.
