In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until a thick batter forms.

Fold in the chopped nuts.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 egg until smooth and creamy.

Pour the cream cheese mixture over the batter and spread evenly.

Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is set and lightly golden. The center should stay soft and slightly gooey.

Let the cake cool completely before cutting into squares.

Optional: dust with powdered sugar before serving.
