Prepare the Ingredients:
Peel and slice the ginger into thin pieces. Set aside the cloves.
Boil the Water:
In a small saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add the Ginger and Cloves:
Once the water starts to boil, add the sliced ginger and whole cloves. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors.
Sweeten (Optional):
After simmering, strain the tea into a cup. Add honey for sweetness, if desired. A teaspoon of lemon juice can also be added for an extra refreshing kick.
