Cut the beef into bite-sized chunks, keeping the fat attached.
Season with salt and garlic powder.
Place the beef in a large pan over medium heat. Allow the fat to slowly render.
Continue cooking for 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef becomes golden and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels.

In a bowl, mash the avocados until smooth.
Stir in the tomato, red onion, lime juice, cilantro, salt, and pepper.
