In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, milk, and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually 20–25 minutes).
Once it reaches a soft-serve consistency, transfer to a container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
