Hearty Baked Potato and Ground Meat Casserole: A Family Classic

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).

In a skillet, heat olive oil or butter and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.

Add the ground meat, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned. Set aside.

In a bowl, whisk together cream, milk, and egg. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Grease a baking dish and layer half of the potato slices.

Spread the cooked meat over the potatoes, then top with the remaining potato slices.

Pour the cream mixture evenly over the casserole.

Sprinkle with cheese on top.

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
