In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add cold butter and rub it into the flour until crumbly.
Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead briefly until smooth.
Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Roll out the dough thinly and cut into rectangles or circles.
Add 1 tbsp of filling in the center of each piece, fold over, and press the edges to seal.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the pastries until golden brown and crispy.
Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
