In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
Stir in the soy sauce and ketchup, making sure the shrimp are well-coated with the sauce.
Allow the sauce to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
Remove the skillet from the heat and serve the garlic butter shrimp hot. This dish is best served with steamed rice, pasta, or a fresh green salad.
