Moist Apple & Cinnamon Cake: A Classic Comfort in Every Slice

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round or square baking pan.

Prepare the apples: Peel and dice the apples, toss them in lemon juice to prevent browning. Set aside.

Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar: In a separate bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.

Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in the diced apples.

Pour and top: Pour batter into the prepared pan. If desired, sprinkle with the brown sugar and cinnamon topping.

Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
