Activate yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar. Sprinkle in the yeast and let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
Mix dough: Add the egg, melted butter, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Knead until a soft, smooth dough forms (8–10 minutes by hand or 5 minutes with a dough hook).
Let rise: Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Prepare filling: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
Shape the dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle (about 20x30 cm / 8x12 inches). Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mix.
Roll and shape: Roll the dough tightly into a log and place in a greased loaf pan.
Final rise: Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 30–35 minutes or until golden. Let cool before slicing.
