Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly greased baking tray or parchment paper.
Use a knife to score a border around the edges of the pastry, about 1 cm from the edge. This will help the pastry rise and form a crisp border when baked.
Cook the Minced Meat Filling:
In a large skillet, heat a small amount of butter or oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the minced meat to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and cooked through.
Stir in the dried basil, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and stir in the grated cheese and chopped parsley.
Assemble the Pastry:
Spoon the meat and cheese mixture evenly onto the puff pastry, spreading it out within the scored border.
Fold the edges of the puff pastry slightly over the filling to form a crust, ensuring the filling stays contained.
Bake:
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy.
Serve:
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing into pieces. Serve warm as a savory snack or appetizer.
