For Lettuce:
After cutting your lettuce, rinse it thoroughly with cold water to remove any dirt and debris. Pat it dry with paper towels or a cloth towel to remove excess moisture. To keep lettuce crisp for even longer, store it with a piece of paper towel inside an airtight container or resealable bag to absorb any extra moisture. You can also add a little bit of lemon juice or vinegar to the container to help preserve the freshness.
For Other Vegetables:
Cut your vegetables into desired sizes. Rinse them thoroughly and dry them with paper towels. Store the cut vegetables in airtight containers or resealable plastic bags. If you want them to stay extra crispy, you can also add a small piece of damp paper towel inside the container to maintain humidity without making them soggy.
Keep Refrigerated:
Store all cut vegetables and lettuce in the refrigerator. Keep them in the crisper drawer, as this part of the fridge is designed to maintain the right humidity levels for vegetables.
