Originally made famous by the La Scala restaurant in Beverly Hills, this chopped salad has become a go-to favorite for its fresh crunch and bold flavors. Finely chopped greens are tossed with garbanzo beans, salami, mozzarella, and a tangy Dijon vinaigrette, making every bite perfectly balanced and satisfying.

Ingredients:
For the Salad:

6 cups (450 g) finely chopped iceberg lettuce

1 cup (150 g) cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup (150 g) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained and rinsed

1/2 cup (75 g) Genoa salami, diced

1/2 cup (75 g) mozzarella cheese, diced or shredded

2 tbsp (10 g) fresh basil, chopped (optional)

For the Dressing:

1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil

2 tbsp (30 ml) red wine vinegar

1 tsp (5 g) Dijon mustard

1/2 tsp (2.5 g) garlic powder

Salt and black pepper, to taste
