Prepare the Puff Pastry: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Unroll the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
Assemble the Filling: Lay the ham slices on one half of the pastry. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly on top of the ham.
Fold and Seal: Fold the other half of the puff pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal the pastry. You can use a fork to crimp the edges for a nice decorative touch.
Egg Wash: Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pastry to give it a golden, shiny finish during baking.
Bake: Place the pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.
