Creamy Chicken Mushroom Pasta

Boil the fettuccine or tagliatelle pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.

Sauté Garlic and Onion:
In a large pan, melt butter or heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and chopped onion (if using), and sauté until fragrant.

Cook the Chicken:
Add the cubed chicken breast to the pan and cook until it turns golden brown and is cooked through.

Add Mushrooms:
Toss in the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5 minutes until they soften and release their juices.

Prepare the Creamy Sauce:
Pour in the heavy cream or milk, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer until the sauce thickens.

Combine with Pasta:
Add the cooked pasta into the sauce, and toss well to coat the pasta in the creamy mixture.

Garnish and Serve:
