Cheesy Meat and Potato Casserole

Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Boil in salted water until just tender, about 10–12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Mixture:
Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet. Add onion and sauté until translucent. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Cook until browned and cooked through. Set aside.

Prepare the Egg Mixture:
In a bowl, whisk together the milk (or cream) and egg.

Assemble the Casserole:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a greased baking dish, layer half of the boiled potatoes. Spread the meat mixture on top, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella and cheddar. Add the rest of the potatoes, pour the egg mixture evenly over the top, and finish with the remaining cheese.

Bake:
Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serve:
Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
