In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
Dissolve the yeast in a bit of lukewarm water (for fresh or active dry yeast). If using instant yeast, add it directly to the flour.
Add eggs and the dissolved yeast to the dry ingredients. Mix to form a rough dough.
Gradually add softened butter and knead the dough for 10–12 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and let the dough rise for about 1 to 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll each into a smooth ball, then flatten and roll into a spiral or desired shape.
Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush rolls with beaten egg or milk for a glossy finish.
Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving.
