In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, lime zest, lime juice, salt, and pepper.
Add the chicken strips and toss until fully coated in the marinade. Let sit for 5–10 minutes if time allows.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
Arrange the chicken strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should be 165°F or 74°C).
Serve warm with dipping sauce, tacos, or over a fresh salad.
