Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a loaf tin.
Whisk eggs, vanilla, and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Add milk and oil, whisking until well combined.
Sift in flour and baking powder; mix until smooth.
Divide batter in half: keep one half vanilla, and to the other, stir in the cocoa powder.
Alternate spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter in the loaf tin. Swirl lightly with a knife for the marble effect.
Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool before slicing.
