In a large bowl, whisk together warm milk, egg, salt, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it rest for 5 minutes to activate the yeast.
Add the oil and gradually mix in the flour until you get a smooth, thick batter (similar to pancake batter).
Pour the batter into a non-stick skillet or frying pan and spread evenly.
Cover with a lid and let it rest for 10–15 minutes to rise slightly.
Turn the heat to medium-low and cook with the lid on for about 5–7 minutes.
Once the bottom is golden, flip or carefully transfer to a baking sheet, add your favorite toppings, and grill or broil for another 5–7 minutes until the cheese is melted.
