Perfectly Soft Homemade Flour Tortillas

Introduction:
These homemade flour tortillas are soft, flexible, and far superior to store-bought versions. Made with just five simple ingredients, they’re ideal for tacos, burritos, wraps, or dipping into your favorite sauces. Once you try them fresh and warm, you'll never want to go back to packaged tortillas again.

Ingredients:

2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon baking powder

½ cup (130 ml) hot water

¼ cup (50 g) vegetable oil

How to Make:

In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder.

Add the hot water and oil. Stir with a spoon until a rough dough forms.

Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface for about 5–7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.

Roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.

Heat a dry skillet or non-stick pan over medium heat.

Cook each tortilla for about 30–60 seconds on each side until golden spots appear.

Keep cooked tortillas warm in a clean towel until serving.
