Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, margarine (or butter), flour, and a dash of salt. Mix until well combined and smooth.
Roll the dough into small balls and press them into the bottoms of mini tart pans. Press up the sides to form a crust.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the crust is golden. Remove from the oven and set aside.
Prepare the filling:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Stir in the chopped pecans.
Assemble the tarts:
Spoon the filling mixture into each tart shell, filling each about three-quarters full.
Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly golden on top.
