Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling.
Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet and brush with melted butter.
Optional: Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking.
Bake for 15–17 minutes or until golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
