Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Roll out the puff pastry into a rectangle (about 0.5 cm thick). Transfer to the baking sheet.
Add the Apple Layer:
Arrange the apple slices over the pastry, leaving a 2 cm border. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon (if using).
Add Walnuts:
Scatter the chopped walnuts evenly over the apples.
Crimp and Egg Wash:
Fold the pastry edges slightly over the filling and brush the edges with beaten egg.
Bake:
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
Make the Glaze:
Mix powdered sugar with orange juice and lemon zest until smooth.
Glaze and Serve:
Drizzle the citrus glaze over the warm tart. Let cool slightly before slicing.
