Prep the Bags:
Flatten the plastic bags and cut off the handles and bottom seam. You should be left with flat rectangular sheets.
Layer the Plastic:
Stack 3–4 layers of plastic on top of each other. More layers = thicker material. Smooth out any wrinkles.
Protect with Parchment Paper:
Place a sheet of parchment paper on top and bottom of the plastic stack to prevent melting plastic from sticking to the iron.
Iron Carefully:
Set your iron to a medium setting (no steam). Gently iron over the parchment paper in slow, even motions for 10–15 seconds at a time. Check frequently.
Cool and Use:
Let the fused plastic cool. Trim edges and use it to create wallets, covers, or stitch it into larger projects.
