Chop the onion, garlic, ginger, and lemon into small pieces.
Place them in a pot along with turmeric and black pepper.
Add 4 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce the heat and let simmer for 20 minutes.
Strain the mixture and let it cool.
Store the liquid in a clean jar or bottle in the fridge.
