Wash the oranges, carrot, and apple thoroughly.
Peel the oranges and carrot.
Cut the oranges into small pieces, removing any seeds.
Grate or finely chop the carrot.
Peel and chop the apple (if using).
Place the orange pieces, carrot, lemon juice, and apple into a saucepan.
Add the water and cinnamon (if using).
Cook over medium heat for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft.
Use an immersion blender or food processor to puree the mixture.
Simmer on low heat for another 10–15 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.
Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
