In a pot, bring 3 cups of water to a boil.
Add garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, and the cinnamon stick.
Let it simmer gently for 10 minutes.
Add guava leaves and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Strain the tea into a cup.
Add honey and lemon juice if desired. Serve warm.
