1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp instant yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup warm water (adjust as needed)
For the Filling:
6 slices bacon, cooked crispy and chopped
1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp brown sugar
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
For the Finish:
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
