In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, salt, yogurt, and vegetable oil. Stir until well blended.
Add Flour:
Gradually add flour (and baking powder if using), mixing with a spoon or hand until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.
Knead Briefly:
Knead the dough for 2–3 minutes just until smooth. Let rest for 5–10 minutes covered.
Shape the Bread:
Divide the dough into 6–8 equal balls. Roll each one into a flat circle, about ½ cm thick.
Cook in a Pan:
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan. Cook each bread for about 2 minutes per side until golden spots appear and it puffs slightly.
Serve Warm:
Brush with butter if desired and serve hot or warm with your favorite toppings or sides.
