Quick & Delicious Butter Cake

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a small loaf or round cake pan with parchment paper.

In a saucepan, heat water, milk, salt, sugar, and butter until it begins to boil.

Remove from heat and add the flour. Stir quickly until smooth and thick like choux pastry.

Let it cool slightly, then mix in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla extract and baking powder until smooth.

Pour the batter into the pan. Add any toppings if desired.

Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar if you like.
