No Soil Needed: Beginner's Guide to Growing Ginger in Water

Place the ginger in the container with the eyes facing up.

Fill the container with just enough water to cover the base of the ginger (don’t submerge it completely).

Create Humidity:

Cover loosely with plastic wrap or place in a humid environment.

Alternatively, use a small greenhouse lid or inverted glass jar.

Care and Maintenance:

Change the water every 2–3 days.

Keep in a warm, indirect light spot (20–25°C / 68–77°F).

After a week or two, you’ll see shoots and roots forming.
