Brazilian Cloud Rolls – Soft, Sweet & Irresistible Street Snack

In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, warm water, warm milk, oil, sugar, and salt.

Add the yeast and mix well.

Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, stirring until the dough is soft and no longer sticky.

Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Divide the dough into ~18 equal pieces. Shape into balls or rolls.

Place rolls on a parchment-lined baking tray. Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Brush the rolls with the egg yolk and milk mixture.

Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly and serve.
